I think we need to clean up this page more. I added the middle column with the information but that Navigation is mostly redundant to the links on the far left of all the pages anyway. Galaxy613 19:50, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm working on something special :) Please, be patient as it will take a while but... I think you might like it :) Skywalker 19:52, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Sounds good, I'll hold on then. :) Galaxy613 19:53, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
  • slightly off topic, but I just realized how much work there's going to be updating stuff from the new patch. Snowball 20:04, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Bring it. :P Galaxy613 20:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
    • Right, just imagine the work for next year, with next 12 patches, or so... **shrugs** Skywalker 20:24, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
    • I still think it would be great if someone were to say "if you want to know stat X look here in the scripts (or whatever)." That aside, is there any ways to set up a sort of values database where we could modify, say, the effective range of the ERLBL once and then use the 'data name' in various articles (ERLBL.range or ERLBL_RANGE or whatever), 'dereferencing' the name and producing 800, or whatever the current number is? Would it be grossly inefficient to do something like {{WeaponStats|ERLBL|range}}? That might make a monster template, though, so maybe more like {{ERLBL/stats|range}}, perhaps necessitating a template for each family ([missile] weapons, mechs, etc) of these query templates, and creating a bunch of sub-page templates? --Threesan 23:38, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
      • Hm... yea, the trick with conditional template would be possible. The {{WeaponStats|ERLBL|range}} version would work as it doesn't create 100 templates, only it'd be quite CPU consuming for our host, slowing down the page load times (wiki parser isn't fast :/ that's why you don't see such things on other wikis, but rather normal tables, and than normal infoboxes). The only question is - what for? Sky_walker 09:09, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
      • Yeah, no, that was just looking for a way to reduce updating effort while keeping reference tables or anything else (and addressing the difficulty in keeping track of which elements in a table have already been updated, by effectively splitting the table into rows). --Threesan 23:19, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Theme v.2.0

After a week of hard and boring work a new theme was introduced. Post below if you've found any problems. Skywalker 16:55, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

  • The new theme looks awesome, but the (differences (diff) are barely readable. UncleThomy
    • Thanks :) Any hint which diffs? This could help out fixing it. :) Skywalker 16:55, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
  • This is AMAZING! :D Galaxy613 17:43, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Very, very impressive. Awesome job man. (Snowball 20:16, 13 March 2010 (UTC))
    • When editing a page, the clickable code links box is really hard to read.
    • Solved. Also update for galleries and thumbs awaits for upload :) Skywalker 21:44, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
      • Awesome. Saw your edits, and I look forward to Seraph's uploads.

When viewing history the selected rows are light grey, somewhat hard to read. add: Text on stripe_yellow dark/orange/brown part is hard to read (is a dark yellow possible, so it can still use white text?) -- though it's hardly the end of the world if it can't be used in the same way as the other stripes. Also, if the "me; my talk; preferences; contribs; logout" row at the top right is hard to read if you don't have a really wide screen, since the light blue text falls on top of the banner. --Threesan 03:16, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

  • Ok, I fixed the history and several other pages, including the difference between versions. As of the user-info stuff - it's already fixed too :) Thanks for pointing it out. Sky_walker 09:09, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Minor thing -- PPJoy for using multiple joysticks's contents box is so big that the header background yellow/black stripes are wrapped and show up again in the middle of the contents box. --Threesan 13:11, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

    • Oh, yea, I know. It's not the biggest problem - check the How to edit - but fixing this would require re-doing the graphic, so most likely I'll make it during the weekend. But thanks for pointing out :) Sky_walker 17:33, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Mech, mech, 'mech, 'Mech?

Which of these versions should we be using? --Threesan 23:19, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

  • I use the Mech. As of 'Mech - it isn't anywhere in game, so for me this version is out of question. As of Mech vs mech - eg. in there isn't any constant rule, both of these appear in text, but in changelog it's mech, yet again it's capitalized Mech on the Tweeter. I still would go with Mech as we seems to capitalize nearly everything here, so this should be no exception. Sky_walker 11:37, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
